AWS Skills Center Seattle is a free training center for anyone in the Seattle community who is curious about cloud computing and future job possibilities in the cloud. The center is designed to help people with little to no technology background.

Parking Information: Parking for the AWS Skills Center is in the Midtown 21 Garage (located at 1007 Stewart St), diagonally across the street from the AWS Skills Center and it requires to pull a ticket. There are several other parking spaces available around the building. Amazon does not provide free parking validations.

AWS Skills Center offers free, in-person classes and experiences designed for anyone in the Seattle community who is curious about cloud computing and future career possibilities in the cloud—no technology background necessary. It also features a Cloud Discovery Space with interactive exhibits showcasing robotics, space, machine learning, gaming, and smart home technology to help inspire additional learning.

The primary purpose of the foundational learning experiences available at AWS Skills Centers is to guide learners towards outcomes like becoming an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, building introductory-level, solutions-specific cloud skills, or discovering other AWS Training and Certification program offerings. These are critical steps to set learners up as future builders and cloud employees.

Yes. Visiting AWS Skills Center is free, as are the foundational classes offered. There may be opportunities for organizations to book the space for events. Please reach out to aws-skills-center-seattle@amazon.com.

AWS Skills Center Seattle is open to the public as of Nov 22, 2021, Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm. This schedule is subject to change. For the latest information, please visit https://aws.amazon.com/training/skills-centers/.

The Cloud Discovery Space holds up to 140 learners at full occupancy.

Anyone can visit, and all offerings are free of charge. You do not need to register if your group has no more than 20 people. All visitors must sign in at the reception area prior to entering our Cloud Discovery Space, and anyone enrolling in a course must register with our learning management system. Children 14-17 can sign in at the Cloud Discovery Space as guests. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Groups with more than 20 people are required to pre-register with our reception team. If you want to schedule a group class, email aws-skills-center-seattle@amazon.com.

Yes, all AWS Skills Center courses require registration. Signing up in advance for your course helps secure your spot, and courses are filled on a first come basis. You can register online or during your visit.

The AWS Skills Center follows accessibility best practices. All exhibits have closed captioning. All areas (Cloud Discovery Space exhibits, classrooms, restrooms) are wheelchair accessible and have seating throughout. Yes, but only for individuals enrolled in classes. Storage areas are in the classrooms.

Yes, photos and videos are allowed within the Cloud Discovery Space but not within classroom settings.
